Researcher Cao Hongxin is a well-known expert in the field of agricultural information in China, with crop quality, physiological ecology, and information agriculture as the main research directions. In the past five years, he has led 30 national, ministerial, and provincial projects, focusing on research and application of information-based technology for rice and rapeseed production based on models and perception, intelligent measurement and control of facility vegetables based on models and perception, and intelligent recognition and precise prevention and control of crop diseases based on drones in information agriculture. Has won provincial science and technology awards multiple times, currently serving as an executive director of the Jiangsu Society of Remote Sensing and GIS, an executive director of the Jiangsu Society of Systems Engineering, a supervisor of the Jiangsu Agricultural Society, a member of the editorial committees of Jiangsu Agricultural Journal, China Agricultural Science, and Asian Journal of Crop Science, a member of the High tech Professional Committee of the China Agricultural Technology Promotion Association, a member of the Fourth Council of the China Remote Sensing Application Association, Vice Chairman of the Agricultural Meteorology Branch of the China Agricultural Society, Vice Chairman of the Computer Agriculture Application Branch of the China Agricultural Society, and a member of the Advanced Agricultural Information Processing Professional Committee of the International Federation of Information Processing.
