Among the well-known species of hairy crabs in Chinese waters, Yangcheng Lake hairy crab is definitely on the list, thanks to the mechanization of shrimp and crab pond aquaculture in Jiangsu Province. From September 26th to 27th, the Jiangsu Agricultural Machinery Development and Application Center held a training course on the full mechanization technology application of shrimp and crab pond aquaculture in Suzhou, Jiangsu Province. Jiangsu Three&Three, as the invited unit, provided teaching guidance for the training course.

Liu Weimin, Executive Dean of Three&Three Intelligent Livestock and Aquaculture Research Institute at Nanjing Agricultural University and General Manager of Jiangsu Three&Three, gave a wonderful speech on the promotion and application of intelligent technology in shrimp and crab farming. He shared Jiangsu Three&Three's research and exploration in smart fisheries, especially in the field of shrimp and crab, in terms of water grass growth, precise feeding, disease identification, growth prediction, yield estimation, as well as its research and development achievements in intelligent aquaculture equipment.

Sun Chongming, Vice President of Hardware and Manager of Robotics Business Unit of Jiangsu Three&Three, demonstrated the charm of the "Thirty Three Intelligent Manufacturing" unmanned aquaculture vessel at the Yangcheng Lake Freshwater Shrimp Germplasm Innovation Base.

The aquaculture unmanned vessel SAN320 is the third generation unmanned feeding vessel developed by Jiangsu Three&Three. It is made of co polymerized PP engineering plastic material, with a shared material bin and medicine bin. It has a small volume, light weight, and heavy load capacity, and can achieve automatic feeding, automatic pesticide application, and automatic cruising.

According to Mr. Sun, the Jiangsu Three&Three aquaculture unmanned ship has an integrated design of material and medicine storage, and the material storage can be replaced with corresponding throwing devices according to different breeding varieties, breeding scales, and breeding stages. Not only can it feed granular and corn feed, but it can also feed fresh frozen fish, achieving variable feeding of bait, which not only meets the daily nutritional needs of shrimp and crabs, but also reduces the waste of fresh frozen fish and pollution of water bodies.

The Jiangsu Three&Three aquaculture unmanned boats can navigate on aquatic plants without obstacles. They can not only evenly feed fresh ice fish by throwing trays in high-density river crab breeding ponds, but also provide targeted and quantitative feeding according to the crab's habitat in low-density river crab breeding ponds.

Many attendees were very optimistic about the Jiangsu Three&Three aquaculture unmanned ship and were amazed by its operational results. They all expressed that the unmanned ship can effectively reduce the workload of aquaculture personnel and improve work efficiency. At present, the main links of shrimp and crab farming in Jiangsu Province have basically achieved mechanization. Through mechanization and intelligence of farming, green ecology, reduction of emissions, and improvement of quality and efficiency have been achieved in shrimp and crab farming.

In the future, Jiangsu Three&Three will continue to increase research and development investment, develop more intelligent aquatic equipment products for direct production processes, inject more fresh blood into future aquaculture production, and promote the mechanization of aquaculture towards comprehensive, high-quality and efficient development throughout the entire process.
